This internship is designed
for individuals who are curious, proactive, and eager to build a career in
sales and business development. You'll research prospects, initiate outreach,
support lead-generation activities, and learn how successful sales teams create
opportunities. Working closely with experienced professionals, you'll gain
practical exposure to modern sales processes and client engagement. If you're
looking for hands-on experience rather than observation, this is the place to
start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and
research potential clients across various industries who can benefit from
Geekonomy's branding, marketing, and development services.
- Generate
qualified leads through outbound prospecting including cold calling, email
campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other digital channels.
- Engage with
prospects to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals
related to digital transformation and brand building.
- Schedule and
coordinate discovery calls and meetings between qualified prospects and
senior sales team members.
- Maintain accurate
records of all prospect interactions and activities in the CRM.
- Support the sales
team with proposal preparation, presentations, and follow-up activities.
- Participate in
team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales processes and
conversion rates.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Currently
pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing,
Communications, or related field.
- Prior internship
or experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles is a plus but
not mandatory.
- Passion for
technology, digital marketing, and creative services.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal
and written communication skills with the ability to articulate value
propositions clearly.
- Strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse
stakeholders.
- Self-motivated,
proactive, and goal-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with
LinkedIn, email marketing tools, and CRM software is advantageous.
- Ability to work
independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong
organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage
multiple tasks.
- Resilience and
positive attitude when facing challenges or rejection.
